Jalapeno/Honey Helles Lager

ABV: 5.0% | SRM: | FG: 2°P | IBU: 15

For this Brewers Batch, Julia wanted to make a Helles Lager (a traditional German style lager) but with a twist. A hot honey Helles! We made our own hot honey, using 6.66 pounds of local honey and adding jalapenos seeds and all in. We let that infuse for a few weeks and then added it to the beer. Don’t let the jalapenos scare you though there is only a hint of heat to this beer. It has a wonderful pepper flavor and aroma with a nice honey and malt background.

Appearance: Slightly chill haze, light golden color, white foamy head
Aroma: Jalapenos, Honey, malty, hints of herbal hops 
Flavor: Honey, Malt, Jalapeno, Hint of heat and bitterness 
Mouthfeel: Light, crispy
