London Brown Ale

London Brown Ale’s are a historical beer, often hard to find these days. They date back prior to WWI and were brewed in, you guessed it, London! London Brown ales are a luscious, sweet, malt-oriented dark brown ale, with caramel and toffee malt complexity and a sweet finish. They are darker and sweeter than a traditional English brown ale. 

Bonkers! Has some nutty and chocolate notes in the background of the beer but the main players are caramel and toffee with a malty sweetness and biscuity. There is a hint of English hops, making it slightly earthy and floral but the malt is the main player in this beer! Cheers!

Appearance: Dark Brown, almost black with reddish hues, Tan foamy head 
Aroma: Caramel, toffee, nutty, malty, biscuit sweet, milk chocolate
Flavor: Caramel, Malty sweetness, biscuit, coffee, chocolate, hints of dark fruits 
Mouthfeel: Medium body, creamy and smooth, sweet
