The Dunkel has returned, and it is better than ever! ‘Besser’ is the German word meaning ‘better’ so this truly is a ‘Better Beer’. Munich Dunkels are brewed almost exclusively with Munich malt, which contributes a heavy, toasted bread aroma and flavor. It is bursting with malty flavors but has a drinkability to it that most malty beers don’t have thanks to a soft, clean bitterness to balance out the richness of the Munich malt. You can order a liter of it in Germany and still want another. 

Appearance: Deep amber, brilliant clarity, tan creamy head
Aroma: Rich malt, subtle chocolate, toffee, nutty
Flavor: toasted bread, soft hop spice, low malty sweetness
Mouthfeel: Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat dry finish
